" We had two Bernese mountain dogs. Meesh was the first on and Alpha was the second one. I was so fond of that dogs I would have quit my job if they hadn't let me [bring my dogs to work]. And they were a V.I.P. on campus. Everybody knew their names....So, when I'd walk Alpha along the campus, people who didn't know me, knew him would say, "Hello Alpha. Hello Alpha." Who the hell is he? But he's somebody who had gotten to know Alpha because of whoever was walking him exposed Alpha to that person." - Paul Greengard, Oral History
