The Life of Rene Dubos: Choosing to be Human

Rene Dubos' best known scientific achievement was the discovery of the first antibiotics to be systematically cultivated from soil bacteria.

Take a stroll through this online exhibit to learn more about the life and career of this fascinating scientist. The exhibition has been inspired by Carol Moberg’s biography René Dubos, Friend of the Good Earth: Microbiologist, Medical Scientist, Environmentalist (ASM Press, 2005)
