Orchestra of Exiles, a film by Josh Aronson.

Orchestra of Exiles is a film by Josh Aronson, Academy Award-nominated director of Sound and Fury. Featuring Itzhak Perlman, Zubin Mehta, Pinchas Zukerman, Joshua Bell and others, Orchestra of Exiles is the suspenseful chronicle of how one man helped save Europe's premiere Jewish musicians from obliteration by the Nazis during WWII, and founded the Palestine Symphony, which would become the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

In the early 1930's Hitler began firing Jewish musicians across Europe. Overcoming extraordinary obstacles, violinist Bronislaw Huberman moved these great musicians to Palestine. With courage, resourcefulness and an entourage of allies including Arturo Toscanini, Chaim Weizmann and Albert Einstein, Huberman saved close to 1,000 Jews, and along with them, the musical heritage of Europe.

Josh Aronson introduced the film and take questions afterward.
