McLeoad Gauge developed and built for Dr. Walther F. Goebel in 1940 by the University's Glassblowing Shop. Measures - in inches of mercury - the degree of vacuum (negative pressure) in a contained space. Used for micro-distillation in vacuo of sugar compounds
