On September 28th, 2018, the Markus Library held an Open House event. For the Rockefeller community it was an informal opportunity to meet a new University Librarian, Matthew Covey, to talk to the staff, and to attend the official opening of an exhibit celebrating the scientific and philanthropic achievement of Günter Blobel, a towering figure in biomedical science who conducted pioneering investigations at The Rockefeller University for five decades.
