On September 17th, 2013, The Rockefeller University celebrated the restoration of Welch and Flexner Halls and the creation of the Anne T. and Robert M Bass Center for Community Life.
To mark this event, the Markus Library’s current exhibits looks back at the history of Welch Hall, pays tribute to William Welch, a brilliant American scientist, president of the Rockefeller Institute’s first Board of Scientific Advisors, and a founder of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and highlights some of the library’s collections, including Rare Book Collection and RU Authors collection.
