Christian Archibald Herter (1865 – 1910) - an American physician and pathologist noted for his work on diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. He was a co-founder of the Journal of Biological Chemistry, instrumental in establishing the New York Harvey Society and an initial trustee of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research (now the Rockefeller University).
