Description
The Rockefeller University, founded in 1901 as The Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, has made many contributions to the development of new instruments and techniques, but as new methods were introduced others were discarded or superseded. To preserve and maintain what survives, The Rockefeller University has established the Historic Scientific Instrument Collection.
